In today’s post we’re going to be discussing what I love about STANDSTILL, what you're going to like about it, and why it's different from anything else out there (in my modest opinion).
Firstly, let's start of with what I love about STANDSTILL.
Aside from the fact that it's been my baby - and my most heavily guarded secret - for eighteen months, I think STANDSTILL is unique.
I know it's a bold claim, but I do. I genuinely believe that STANDSTILL is unique and unlike any other book on the market. During the writing and editing phases of the process, I read a few similar novels to mine. The most similar being David Videcette’s Theseus Paradox which is an alternative story to the 7/7 bombings. While it was a good book and I enjoyed it, it was about an attack that had already happened. Mine is about something that potentially could happen in the future.
Another reason I love STANDSTILL and why I think you will as well, is because of the politics behind it, the personal aspects. There are many twists and turns in there that you're going to love, and they're going to keep the pages turned and the writing fresh and the suspense at an all-time high.
STANDSTILL will keep you guessing until the very last page.
That's why Readers’ Favorite has this to say about STANDSTILL:
“A pulsating terrorist thriller that moves at an electrifying pace… one gripping page to the next sensational one… There's no difference between this thriller and a compelling, action-packed movie… Tightly plotted with unbelievable tension… pulls readers into a game where nothing is predictable… Having a great idea for a novel is something any average writer can imagine, but executing the plot to a satisfying denouement requires skill… Jack Probyn comes across as a master in crafting a story with an exhilarating endgame… this book is a rare gem…”
You're going to be seeing that review a lot if you stick around. Partly because after reading it, I felt the most proud I've ever felt in my life; and partly because it's an awesome review that should be enough to justify the low cost and worthwhile investment into the book!
In a more concise way than I had originally planned, we've covered all of the main points.
