Birthday Celebrations

My birthday is in July.

I’m not going to tell you which day, but it’s at some point in the seventh month of the year. You have a one in thirty-one chance of guessing right.

At least, that’s better than one in three-hundred-and-sixty-five.

Anyway, I digress.

The reason this is important, is because on my 22nd birthday, I received an email from a gambling company, giving me an exclusive offer.

I think it was a free bet, or something like that.

And that got me thinking.

What if I did the same thing for my readers on their birthday?

No — not give them money. But give them an exclusive birthday treat instead.

So, that’s what I’ve decided to do. I brainstormed a few ideas, and finally came to the conclusion that short stories set within my Jake Tanner universe would be best suited.

They’ll be short pieces — of varying length between 1,000 - 3,000 words — and will be based on some of Jake’s earlier antics. His first day at work. The first time he met Elizabeth.
